Chris Nunez, who is is of Cuban and French descent, grew up in Miami and began his artistic career as a graffiti artist. His parents died when he was young and when he was 16 their names were the first tattoo he received. However, that tattoo is now "lost under a sea of new ones", as he revealed during Miami Ink's first season. Besides tattooing, He has a pit bull and black cat. He has said that likes to have a good time and enjoys being the life of the party. He has also lived in Brazil and Ecuador and in Europe Germany France, and is fluent in English, Spanish French and Portuguese.
