Christopher Lee McDaniel was born in Winston Salem, North Carolina and grew up in a small town called Bennett, 45 miles south of Raleigh. His father Jay McDaniel was in the music business and a DJ for one of the top rock stations in North Carolina. His mother Brenda McDaniel was a travel agent at her own agency.While growing up in the south and on a farm he raced dirt bikes, swam in rivers, went camping, and was a real country boy. Chris was always very athletic and grew up playing baseball, basketball, wrestling, and golf.After high school he moved to Wilmington, NC for college. Chris attended Cape Fear College and started working his way into the studios and shows shooting there, one of which was "Dawson's Creek".On a week long trip to Los Angeles, with his father, a photographer approached Chris at an IHOP and wanted to work with him. Shortly thereafter, he was hand picked by the producers at Fox to play a featured role on X-Men as a young Colossus.This started his journey in Los Angeles to live and pursue his dreams. He was then added to the modeling roster of Abercrombie and Fitch's summer catalogue in 2002 where he went to Miami and shot with Bruce Weber. Christopher's career only grew from there, as he has worked on many of the top shows, films, and commercials over the years.McDaniel continued to train with multiple acting coaches and schools while in Los Angeles with respect to honing his craft. Accrediting most of his teachings to Stella Adler Studio in Hollywood and Lee Strasberg Institute where he has studied immensely. As of 2016, Chris has starred in over 25 national commercials, multiple soaps, TV shows and films. He had the opportunity to shine on the academy awards in 2010 handing out the awards.
