Clare Beavan is an award winning British Director and producer best known for Daphne (2007), Codebreaker (2011), Simon Schama's Power of Art (2006) and The Prince, the Showgirl and Me (2004).She was born in Hampshire and grew up in a Military family. She graduated from Goldsmiths College, London. With a 2;1 degree. In 1992 she joined the BBC's The Late Show (1992) team. She went on to make a number of award winning documentaries for the BBC. In 2007, she produced and directed her first drama feature Daphne (2007) described by Time Out as 'One of the most engrossing and inventive televisual literary profiles the BBC as made in years'.
