Cody Ray Thompson was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He later moved to Calgary, where he attended the University of Calgary, graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Humanities in Philosophy (with distinction) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drama (also with distinction). He also attended the National Voice Intensive in 2011 led by David Smukler and Judith Koltai.He received an internship at Vertigo Theatre right out of school, performing in 'Dangerous Corner' and 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street'. After finishing his internship in the summer of 2012, he decided to move to Toronto in pursuit of film and television work, where he now lives.
