Brought up in Paris, London, Barcelona, and a fishing village on the Mediterranean, cosmopolitan U.S.-born Danielle James spoke four languages by the age of twelve. She graduated early with her B.A. magna cum laude in Paris where she performed leading roles in plays that helped revive English-speaking theater in the City of Light. She has trained with top acting teachers in New York, London, and Los Angeles, winning the IMTA Young Adult Talent of the Year Award.Danielle James' theater credits include acclaimed roles on Broadway, off-Broadway, and most recently she originated the role of Ivy-League Marcia in Richard Pagano's two-character dramedy "Women with Dogs" in Hollywood where critics likened her to Ingrid Bergman. She was spotted on stage for her role opposite Cary Elwes and Jon Bon Jovi in Arthur Hiller-directed National Lampoon's Pucked (2006), stars as the young artist Alessandra in award-winning feature Vidrio roto (2007), guest stars in David Mamet's The Unit (2006), and presently recurs as the provocative small-town Randi Sue in Alan Ball's southern vampire series on HBO, True Blood (2008).
