He was an actor and director, known for Suddenly, Last Summer (1959), Omen IV: The Awakening (1991) and Die 1000 Augen des Dr. Mabuse (1960). He was married to Gerlinde Bernhard, Dorothea 'Pumpi' Gräfin v. Lamberg, Hildegard Knef and Shirley Cameron. He died on August 7, 2012 in Vienna, Austria.
