Declan May is an Irish screenwriter, author, poet and playwright, living in Belfast, and working in Ireland, UK, France and Spain. He has written and adapted scripts and screenplays since 2002. He is currently [2018] developing a script for a biopic of Dirk Bogarde [in preproduction] , as well as co-author of a screenplay for the forthcoming live-action "Untitled Asterix Movie" [2020] Working on several comedy and drama projects for the BBC, Canal+, M6 as well as writing various screenplays and adaptations of French language material for English speaking audiences. His current work includes an adaptation of "1985" by Anthony Burgess for Channel 4 [UK] and Canal+ [France].
