Dennis is a 4th generation born Chinese American from San Francisco, California. His great-grandfather (maternal side) was among the thousands of immigrants who toiled for fortune in the California gold mines. His grandfather was a baker at San Francisco's Mark Hopkins Hotel. His father was a film distributor who licensed theatrical Chinese martial arts movies throughout California and Hawaii and owned a multi-screen theater on San Francisco's Market Street.Dennis is a graduate from SF State University with a double bachelor's degree in broadcast arts and music. Before producing and directing feature films, Dennis was an award winning creative director and president of a production company that has created and delivered advertising and marketing campaigns of more than 200 TV shows and movies for ABC, Disney, Fox, Warner Bros. and Universal.Early in his career, he has written music for ABC and Disney. He also wrote and performed in the original song in his feature film, "A Better Place."He is a still photographer under the name of "db.ho" and the founder and president of a state-of-the-art post production facility in Los Angeles.His directorial debut movie, "A Better Place," has garnered multiple Best Picture and Best Director wins from foreign and domestic film festivals.
