Dennis Skinner
A former coal miner, renowned for his staunchly left-wing views and outstanding attendance and voting record in the House of Commons, as well as his barbed jibes that often bring the House into raptures of laughter, Dennis Skinner is one of the last survivors of the Labour Party's "Old Left". Skinner has been Member of Parliament for Bolsover since 1970 and was once given by The Independent newspaper the moniker of "The Beast That Roars From The Pits".
