American actress Heather Lee is best known for creating the role of stripper Tessie Tura in the Broadway revival of Gypsy directed by Academy Award winner Sam Mendes and starring Bernadette Peters as Mama Rose. She was photographed by Richard Avedon, along with fellow stripper/cast members Julie Halston as Electra and Kate Buddeke as Mazeppa for New York Magazine.
