Ian's writing partner is Kristin Rusk Robinson.After graduating from Northwestern University's Radio/TV/Film program, he started his career working for James L. Brooks' Gracie Films, assisting on shows such as The Simpsons and The Tracy Ullman Show, as well as being credited as associate producer on I'll Do Anything.As side projects, he co-founded the United Hollywood web site and Strike.TV during the 2007-08 WGA writers strike.In 2011, Ian was re-elected to the WGAw Board of Directors.
