Today, a memorial window from the people of Wales depicts a crucified Jesus and a quotation from Matthew 25: 'Inasmuch as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethren, ye have done it to me'. The Jesus in the window is a black man, arms outstretched, reaching, it seems, to a future that is far closer to reality now than appeared possible fifty Septembers ago.
