Karl Heortweard, born as Karel Alfred Bonke on April 6, 1988 in Almelo, The Netherlands, is primarily a film composer, but also an actor, writer and director. He graduated both film composing as well as audiovisual arts and theatre at the Academy of Popculture in Leeuwarden, the Netherlands. Known for his music for 'Casanova's' (a Dutch Romantic Comedy that won the Dutch Golden Film Award), 'Whitestar' (a young adult drama about a girl and her horse named Whitestar), 'Love and Shukla' (an Indian art house family drama, awarded on multiple international film festivals, now available on Netflix), and 'Project Rembrandt' (a Dutch painting talent show).
