Leon Cameron
Leon Cameron is a former Footscray and Richmond footballer and the current Senior Coach of the GIANTS. Cameron played 256 AFL games between 1990 and 2003 after being recruited from South Warrnambool Football Club with pick 7 in the 1988 National Draft. After retiring, Cameron joined the Western Bulldogs as an Assistant Coach from 2004 to 2010 under Peter Rohde and Rodney Eade. Cameron joined Hawthorn as an Assistant Coach in September 2010 and was part of the coaching staff that took the Hawks to the 2012 Grand Final. Cameron joined the GIANTS for the 2013 season as Senior Assistant Coach to Kevin Sheedy in his final year and took over as Senior Coach at the end of 2013, leading the GIANTS to their first finals appearance in 2016. He has led the GIANTS to the finals in four of the past five seasons, including the 2019 AFL Grand Final.
