From an early age, Mariano, from Mato Grosso do Sul, belonged to a country music duo with Munhoz, his childhood friend. They gained some serious traction in 2009, after releasing a live recording of their first album. In the following year, they gained national recognition by winning a music competition on Brazilian TV and triumphing with the success of his song "Camaro Amarelo" among others.
