Matthew J. Bowerman is an actor/writer/arts educator known for his theatrical work in the DC/NYC productions of Children of the April Rain (Ross/Director) and the NYC/Original MD Cast of The Awesome 80's Prom (Swing), as well as the films: The Brothers Nobody (2016), The Night Watchmen (2015), One Penny (2015) and My One and Only (2009). He is the recipient of an EMMY Award for Best Educational Short (Writer/Co-Director), as well as a CINE Golden Eagle for "Bus-STOP" (2008) addressing the crisis of bullying in public schools, and a 2008 TELE for Best Educational Host. When not performing, he is a teacher and private acting/dance/vocal coach. Matthew has developed arts education collaborations nationally and internationally, writes for multiple publications, and also directs/choreographs for Film and Theatre.
