He was born on September 6, 1988 in Manchester, England. He started his career as a footballer by playing football for Preston North End Football Club. Just as he was about to sign a 2 year contract with the club injury ruled him out. He began his music career by joining the boy band, Avenue, the band also auditioned for The X Factor, they were mentored by Louis Walsh and went through to bootcamp and made it to final 12, but they were disqualified for breaking the rules. The band were then signed by Crown Music Management, but after a few years they split. In 2009, Max joined the boyband, The Wanted that was formed by Jayne Collins. However the band split in January 2014.He had been cast in the final season, season 6 of Glee (2009).
