Michael Sussman is best known as a writer and producer of the "Star Trek" franchise and as a Creator and Executive Producer of "Perception," starring Emmy® Award-winner Eric McCormack as a crime-solving neurologist. Sussman's career in television drama was launched when he was hired as a story editor on the Paramount television series "Star Trek: Voyager." He wrote for the celebrated science fiction franchise for five seasons and was promoted to producer on the fourth spin-off of the classic series, "Star Trek: Enterprise," starring Scott Bakula. Sussman's other television credits as a writer-producer include "The Last Ship" for TNT and Executive Producer Michael Bay ("Transformers"); "12 Monkeys" for SyFy and Universal Cable Productions; the CBS drama "Threshold" starring Carla Gugino and Peter Dinklage; and the syndicated "Legend of the Seeker" for Executive Producer Sam Raimi and ABC Studios. Previously, he served as a writer and producer for KCAL-TV's Emmy® Award-winning "Prime Nine News" and shared the award for Best Newscast at the New York Festivals Television & Film Awards. He lives in Los Angeles.
