I look at acting as a job; it's what I do for a living. I figure that if I can just stay clear about who I am and keep working and have other things in my life that mean something to me like friends and family, I'll at least maintain some sanity.

First time I ride an elephant, I'm galloping down this river bank with, like, twenty other ones galloping behind me, and I'm going, I'm holding onto whatever bugs, hair, or whatever I can hold onto, going, 'Don't fall off, what ever you do. Because these guys are not going to stop, just because I fall off. They don't know I'm Tarzan.'

Miles O'Keeffe
Attended the Air Force Academy Prep School after high school. He quit and switched over to Mississippi State to play football, but was forced to quit when he broke his hand. He then transferred to the University of the South, and graduated with a B.A. in psychology. He worked a year as a counselor at the Tennesse State Prison, then traveled around a bit before being asked to appear as an extra in a TV movie. He moved to Los Angeles in 1980, and sent in his picture to the makers of Tarzan l'homme singe (1981). The rest is history.
