Early in my career, having many visible tattoos created obstacles and presented quite a challenge to move forward. I've heard comments like, 'actors don't have tattoos.' The notion of type casting was a reoccurring theme despite my passion toward creativity and personal expression.

(On working with Steven Seagal) They say timing is everything and with this came the action star, Steven Seagal. His impact on the action genre was groundbreaking and unique. A significant break for me was when I was invited by Steven to participate in a series of films that to this day are landmark action movies like Hard to Kill and Out For Justice, both released by Warner Brothers.

(On getting into Acting) It was the closest thing to freedom that I felt because the world I was growing up in was so chaotic. It made me feel good and I felt love that I didn't feel anywhere else.I saw the power of imagination. This was my only escape.

(On acting) Creativity can release you from the limitations that the world has constructed around you; the everyday, mundane, 9-5 jail cell where everybody is waiting for the weekend to party so they can get outside of their head.
