Known for playing the younger version of Hodor in Game of Thrones (2016) as well as the mentally disturbed Bud in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel, Leatherface (2016), Sam (born Samuel Joseph Coleman) is young, British actor and poet who was born in High Wycombe (UK) on the 26th of September 1996.Sam's journey into the world of acting started when his mother took him to a local theatre group to boost his confidence at a young age. After a few weeks of hesitance, Sam began to enjoy himself and thus the spark was lit. Since then Sam has developed his skills and gained experience with the likes of the Jacqueline Fox school of dance (Worle, Somerset) and the East Sussex School of Performing Arts (Bexhill on Sea). However, at first Sam didn't consider acting as a profession, instead choosing to peruse his interests in English and History. That was until he met his friend and mentor, Adam Hepkin. As well as casting Sam in several amateur productions in the local area, Adam helped Sam develop his acting abilities (as well as his singing and *attempts at* dancing) and built Sam up from an enthusiast into an *posh voice* actor. Because of this Sam decided, on his 18th birthday, to join the local acting agency (Madfish Management) where, within a year, Sam was lucky enough to be cast in two amazing roles (Leatherface & Game of Thrones) thanks to several smooth auditions and the hard work of his agent.Since then Sam has gone on to be part of the UK TOUR of Adam Hepkin's Magic of the Musicals (2014,2015,2016) alongside the likes of Kerry Ellis, Ruthie Henshall, Aled Jones and Sharon D Clarke as well as moving to an amazing London-based agency (Byron's Management).As well as his acting exploits Sam is also a keen writer and poet and, when he's not working, is usually writing something. Sam is also quite openly political, supporting the likes of Jeremy Corbyn, Caroline Lucas and Bernie Sanders. Since November 2015, Sam has stuck to a strictly vegan diet due to his views on animal cruelty and climate change as well as being conscious about his weight. Sam is also an Atheist and a member of the British Humanist Association, sighting some of his secular heroes as Tim Minchin, Derren Brown, Richard Dawkins and Richard Wiseman (to name a few).Sam is also a firm believer in selflessness and charity and wishes to one day be in a position where he can make a meaningful difference to the lives of the disadvantaged, be that through activism, philanthropy or both.
