Sampda Sharma started her career in the entertainment industry as a female MC. She later went on to form her solo career as a Hip Hop / R&B artist under the name Samsaya and released her CD "Shedding Skin". Her acting career started with a smaller role in the film Folk flest bor i Kina (2002). The film had several directors each making up parts of the movie, and shows short stories portraying the Norwegian political parties. Her next movie was a main roles in one of the most successfull Norwegian horror movies Villmark (2003) (aka. Dark Woods). The film was seen by more than 135,000 people in Norway. This year she has been concentrating on her musical career, but had a small role in the movie Hawaii, Oslo (2004).
