Shabana Azeez is an award-winning Adelaide-based actor. She has worked predominantly as a screen actor, starring in Melanie Easton's Aquaphobe, Emma Hough Hobbs' Stopover in a Quiet House (2019 Fleurieu Film Festival Official Wildcard Selection), and Leela Varghese's Crush (Tropfest 2019 Finalist; Best Screenplay Winner; Best Editing Winner). She co-won Best Female Actor at Tropfest 27 for her work in Crush. She was a 2019 Raw Comedy State Finalist with her musical comedy band, Coconuts. Passionate about telling stories that push the envelope, Shabana has worked with a number of female directors, queer filmmakers, and culturally diverse teams of storytellers.
