Stanley Aughtry is an American actor and model. The avid artist has been active for 15 years, playing various roles in film and television while performing as a promotional model for a major home improvement company.Stanley Lowell Aughtry, Jr. was born in Washington, DC to Brenda Barnes Battle and Stanley Aughty, Sr. He spent his formative years in Goldsboro, NC where he attended primary and secondary school. Stanley excelled as a scholar, athlete, musician and leader. In addition to excelling academically, Stanley displayed great promise as football captain, trumpet player and Governor's School attendee. The erudite athlete attended Hampton University on full scholarship where he served as football captain and earned honors in Electrical Engineering.Upon graduation he started his career as an engineer and passionately pursued his dream of becoming an actor, model and Master in Business Administration.From 2002- 2004 he earned his MBA and drove home improvement doers' demand "to get things done" as a promotional model for Home Depot.His acting career erupted in 2007 landing his first big screen appearance in The Dark Knight (2008). He was featured in the film Step Sisters (2010) and a commercial for Norfolk Southern prior to his next feature film appearance in The Dark Knight Rises (2012). He followed his work in The Dark Knight Trilogy by appearing in Jack Reacher (2012).He diversified his body of work and developed his artistic acumen by contributing to television productions on The Revolution Will Be Televised (2014), Survivors Remorse (2015/2016) and Being Mary Jane (2015).In 2016 he returned to the big screen appearing in Boo! A Madea Halloween (2016) and All Eyez on Me (2017).His career continues to flourish, he has secured a principal role in Marvel Studios' Black Panther which is scheduled for release in 2018.The persistent polymath resides in Atlanta, Georgia where he continues to thrive as an actor, engineer and entrepreneur.
