Thanos Kermitsis was born in 1985 in Athens.He studied Film Directing in New York College, Athens ( Film & Tv Studies department.He also graduated from the Post-Production Department in Intergraphics:College of Digital Technologies in Applied & Fine Arts and also has a Degree in Public Administration from Panteion University,He has worked as an Assistant Director, Film Editor and Camera Operator in various production companies in Greece.He has directed Feature films, as well as Short Films,most of which have won Awards in both Greek and International Festivals,and has also worked in various Short and Feature Films as an Assistant Director,Film Editor,Director of Photography and Actor.His breakthrough was in 2013, with the Independent Feature Film "The Dragonphoenix Chronicles: Indomitable", based in the world of the comic book series "The Dragonphoenix Chronicles" by Yannis Roumboulias.The film, which cost about 10.000 euros, made it's premiere at the Athens International Film Festival 2013 with two sold-out screenings, participated in 12 film festivals around the world, winning 7 awards and 3 award nominations.
