Anderson is a bit of a lackey for the BAU, he is usually only seen in situations or scenes where an action or deed must be accomplished to further the plot but it does not warrant or require one of the 7 BAU members. He is most notable for his actions during the Fisher King case (1X22 - 2X01) wherein he takes Elle Greenaway to her apartment and leaves her alone to sleep. The Fisher King has the BAU agents' personal information which leaves them extremely vulnerable. When Hotchner sees Anderson back at the BAU he orders the young agent back to Elle's. Anderson discovers that Elle had been shot by the Fisher King who was angry that the BAU had violated his rules by holding a press conference. Fortunately Anderson summons help and Elle's life is saved.
