Alex Kelly comes in during season two. She manages the Bait Shop, and later hires Seth. Seth and Alex start dating kind of, until Alex's ex comes into the picture and everyone finds out she is bisexual. Alex then falls for Marissa after Ryan starts dating Lindsey. Marissa moves in with Alex to get back at her mom, but Alex learns the truth Marissa will never love anyone else. Ryan. Lindsey moves to Chicago with her mom, and Ryan is heart broken. Who is there with a shoulder to cry on, but Marissa. Seth does all he can to re-unite Ryan and Marissa, even if Summer is dead set against it.
