Alli Bhandari is a member of the Degrassi class of 2014. She has a habit of getting in to trouble, particularly where it concerns boys. She can be mean spirited when she feels threatened. Despite being very smart, she suffers from low self esteem where it comes to needing validation from boys to feel good about herself. She can also be very brave and stubborn, such as when she forms her own dance squad after failing to make the Power Squad.Background: She begins in the gifted program and has an interest in chemistry and breast cancer research and considers attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She's a member of the Science Club and is on the staff of the Degrassi Daily.She has been best friends with Clare Edwards and Jenna Middleton since freshman year. She has romantic interests in Johnny DiMarco, Drew Torres, Dave Turner and Leo. She has a reputation for being Book smart/boy dumb. She becomes angry with Holly J and starts an I Hate Holly J group on Facerange, the Degrassi version of Facebook, after Holly embarrasses her over Johnny.She is the younger sister of Sav Bhandari, a Degrassi graduate in the class of 2011. Her parents are conservative Muslims, so as a freshman she changes into more revealing clothes and lets her hair down when she arrives at school, then changes back to go home.
