Amy had a complicated relationship with her much older sister, Andrea, prior to the undead outbreak. The sisters were attempting to mend their relationship on a road trip when society fell to pieces and, after being rescued by Dale, eventually join a group of survivors in Atlanta. Amy is young and optimistic almost childlike in her 20s and often takes care of the groups children. Through her relationship with Andrea is far from perfect, she adores her older sister and holds her up as an example of the strong, independent and highly capable person she might one day become.
