Antony Meyer was a consultant cardiothoracic surgeon and clinical lead of the Holby City General Hospital's Darwin ward from 1999 until his departure from the series in 2002. He was known to all as a perfectionist who never accepted being late or doing something wrong. He has proved to be one of the (if not the) best character of the entire series, with getting into the Holby.tv awards every year as a favourite consultant, favourite male character or the most wanted character to return column.
