April Curtis joined the foundation for law and government on the 2nd of October 1983 and was present for 21 missions with the team while Bonnie Barstow was on leave for higher education.April was gifted with both beauty and brains and is a computer expert and KITT's programmer, she was responsible for many of KITTs new functions, to make him able to drive on water or go off road with spiked tires for extra grip. One of the most memorable of April's missions was the time her niece Becky needed a bone marrow transplant and the only person who could help with a match was Julio Rodriguez, a gang-member who is wanted for the murder of a gang leader. She also had to reprogramme KITT when he was hacked by Randy Merrit and left without a CPU and then had to stand up to Garth Knight, who had different ideas of his own for herWe also learn that while studying April worked for a travel agent which helped when she had to decipher a code to entrap a crazed killer/ drug dealer.April left the foundation for law and government on May 27th 1984 with the return of Bonnie Barstow
