Rafe McCawley (b. 1915) was a US Army Air Corps pilot during World War II. Born in Tennessee, McCawley became an officer in the Air Corps sometime before December 1941. McCawley saw action in England as a volunteer, at Pearl Harbor and as part of the Doolittle Raid. McCawley is an ace pilot and capable of flying anything with wings. He has great natural instincts and is much smarter and more capable then he comes off. Sometime after the Doolittle Raid, McCawley married US Navy nurse Evelyn Johnson and raised her son with Danny Walker as his own.
