Caroline Channing grew up very wealthy, however when her father, Martin Channing, is arrest and charged for scamming people out of their money, she is left broke and homeless. With all her old friends turning their backs on her, she is forced to take a job at the Williamsberg Diner. There she meets and befriends Max Black, who takes her in off the streets, and gives her a couch to sleep on. Caroline is smart and very business minded, but she also has taste for the finer things in life. She currently lives with Max, with her horse Chestnut, as they struggle to save up enough money to open a cupcake business.
