Third Grade Detective Danny Messer brings his Staten Island roots with him to the New York City Crime Lab. Mac personally selected Danny to join his team, an honour and responsibility that Danny attempts to live up to every day. He is married to his co-worker Detective Lindsay Monroe, whom he calls Montana because she was born and raised there.They have a daughter named Lucy.
