Darkness (or The Lord Of Darkness ) is the antagonist character in the 1985 Ridley Scott film 'Legend', starring Tom Cruise, Mia Sara, and Tim Curry. Darkness (Curry) is the embodiment of shadow and evil in a fairy tale world where two innocent lovers, Lilly and Jack (Mia and Tom) are ignorant of all things dark and unpure. Darkness uses their ignorance in a plan to trap, kill, and steal the horns of two Unicorns. His scheme is thwarted, inevitably, by true love, and he is ultimately banished into exile by the light of day.
