Dorian Gray is a young man from the Oscar Wilde novel the Picture of Dorian Gray. The character sold his soul for eternal youth and beauty. He owns a painting that grows uglier every time he sins. If you destroy his painting he would die. Or if he looks upon the painting, he will die.Early life:In the 2009 movie and original novel, Dorian was abused badly by his father, often locked away in an attic. In the movie he bares scars on his back from being beaten. He inherits his father's fortune following his death. His mother is also dead by this point, rendering him an orphan.Friend Basil Harwood is in awe of Gray's beauty and paints several portraits of him. Eventually, Harwood creates what he believes is the perfect portrait, presenting it as a gift to Gray, who hangs it in his hallway.
