Contents [hideshow] 1. Biography Biography The mother of Julia McNamara and famous psychiatrist/author. Her attitude is very free and open towards life. She has done several odd things on the show, including flashing her body to her daughter and smoking a bong with her grandson while discussing his sex life with a woman that used to be a man. Erica seems to always be there when she is least expected, but attemps to do what is best for Julia. She of course has had some plastic surgery from her son-in-law, Dr. Sean McNamara, one being a face lift.For a while she was missing from the show, but came out to California for a final and twisted goodbye. She tried to take Annie and Connor away from Julia and Sean. However, her new and much younger husband, Renaldo (Gilles Marini), began showing signs of attraction towards her 13-year old granddaughter. Then she found him with a pair of the girls underwear and threw him out. Erica told Sean and Julia that she would not fight for custody because of what had happened. Julia told Erica to leave and never come back. Making sure Erica never would, Julia put a large amount of cocaine in her bag. It was found at the airport and she was arrested and will probably face time in prison.
