Lawrence Kutner was a member of Dr. Gregory House's medical diagnostic team. He was hired, along with doctors Remy Hadley and Chris Taub, after a performance based job interview that lasted several weeks. He was well known for his unconvential testing methods. Kutner was still a kid at heart, evidenced by the toys in his apartment and his fondness for magic tricks. He was of Indian roots, but was adopted by a white family when he was 9. His parents were shot dead during a store robbery when he was 6. For reasons yet unknown, Dr. Lawrence Kutner took his own life. His body was discovered in his apartment by his colleagues Dr. Eric Foreman and Dr. Remy Hadley when he did not report for work. The fallout from his death left others feeling responsible. Dr. House was forced to check into a rehab facility after suffering from hallucinations stemming from Kutner's suicide as well as from guilt over his involvment in the death of doctor Wilson's girlfriend and former colleague, Dr. Amber Vollakis. Lawrence Kutner was 28-years-old.
