Duncan Pailey is a young boy who suffers from heart failure. His parents bring him to Seattle Grace for heart surgery, which is to be done by doctor Hahn. Duncan is afraid of the surgery at first, causing him to act out, running around the hospital and pulling the emergency alarm. Doctor O'Malley shows him how surgery works, and promises he can see the video of his surgery after it's over. Duncan gets his surgery and everything works out well for him.
