Eric is the drummer in Simon's band. He is known to be a terrible singer and songwriter, and thinks himself to be a poet, when really his songs never make sense. He also frequently changes the name of the band, at one point calling it the Lawn Chair Crisis, and another time Millennium Lint. Clary thinks of Eric as being very sexist, and jokingly suggests that they call the band the Sexist Pigs. Although Eric isn't the best influence on Simon and advises him to ask out the girl with the most rockin' bod, he provides Simon with a van several times when Clary and the Shadowhunters need transportation, including when they need to retrieve the Mortal Cup from Madame Dorothea.
