Easy Rawlins is a WWII Vet who served with General Patton's third Army. Easy found work in the aircraft industry until 1948 when he lost his job. Easy having owned a home was willing to take on odd jobs to pay for his mortgage . Easy became a Private Detective of sorts doing favors for other people.With the help of his Best friend a killer named Mouse / Easy can go where the law cannot. and Because Easy is a black man with strong ties to the black community he can take cases the white police force can't. Easy Rawlins Becomes a force for Justice and change in the city of Los angles for the black community while working black Cases. And doing Odd jobs for the authorities .
