Father Jack oversees a parish in a rough neighborhood, and feels as though the police aren't doing enough to help the people within his community. After an innocent young man is killed and the police investigate the crime, (S5: E5 - Half Load ) he remains skeptical about the involvement of the police but eventually makes peace with the department and shows them the potential of his parishioners and the community at large.
