Gabe is introduced in the first episode, he gets Claire high on crystal meth the day that her father dies so she has to deal with the situation while freaking out. Claire has sex with Gabe, during which she sucks his toes. Gabe tells Adam who spreads it around the entire school. Claire is then ridiculed by her classmate who call her all kinds of nasty things, Toe Sucker, Little Miss Piggy, etc, and her car is covered in grafitti. She gets revenge by placing a dismembered foot in Gabe's locker, he totally freaks out, gets rid of the foot then denies it happened. Gabe was supposed to be watching his 6 yr old brother, Anthony, one day, but he sends him into his mom's room to play while Gabe and his friend get high. Anthony finds a handgun, accidentally shoots himself and dies. Claire feels sorry for Gabe, she tries to help him through his brother's death. Gabe's mother blames Gabe for Anthony's death, and his stepfather attacks him at the funeral.Soon after, Gabe overdoses and Claire tries to help him recover. Gabe then becomes Claire's boyfriend. However, he gets into more trouble; holding up a convenience store, stealing the Fishers' embalming fluid to use for extra-potent joints. He admits what he has done to Claire and she lies to the police, claiming she doesn't know anything. Gabe disappears then he calls Claire and asks her to come and get him and give him a ride. While at a stoplight another driver starts insulting Claire, Gabe pulls out a gun and shoots at the driver, he makes Claire leave the scene. Claire insists on going back, so he has her drop him off, leaving the gun with her. Claire breaks down to her brothers who call Keith and she tells the police everything. After that, Claire breaks off ties with Gabe. Later, she receives closure from a fantasy scene showing she believes Gabe has died and is at peace in death and able to see his younger brother, Anthony.
