Gloria Akalitus is the Nursing Manager. She sometimes forgets what it is like to be a Nurse. She is normally found wearing her famous Life Stride Pumps for comfort, rather than Manolo Blaniks. However, Jackie can seem to get that last word in when it comes to Nursing conflicts. Akalitus is not without her personal conflicts as well. She wants to do well as a Nursing Manager, but a Nursing Manager by definition is more administrative then medical. Hence the struggles.
