Detective Hieronymous 'Harry' Bosch is a veteran of many things: the First Gulf war, the LAPD homicide division, and a troubled foster care system. Despite Bosch's troubled past, he has tried to do the best he can with the darkness he has been given. His unorthodox methods and blatant disregard for the chain of command has earned him a reputation as a bit of a loose cannon, but his drive to close cases has also driven a wedge between Bosch and his family: Ex-wife Eleanor Wish and daughter Maddie.
