Henry Wilcox is Arthur Campbells immediate predecessor as Director of Clandestine Services at the CIA, a post he held for 10 years, during which time he supervised both Arthur and Joan Campbell. He earned a reputation for being overly secretive, even for the CIA, and Arthur is working to emerge from the shadows of his tenure and offer more transparency. Henry is devious, conniving and shrewd.Henry believed that operatives have to work down in the mud to defeat evil and anyone who believed otherwise was kidding themselves.His legacy at the CIA was running more dark ops than anyone since the Cold War, earning him a reputation in the press as The Prince of Darkness or Satans Little Helper.Background: Henry has a difficult relationship with his son Jai, whose mother, a neurosurgeon from Mumbai, was Henrys asset when they met. He eventually left her for a younger woman. Henry doesnt hesitate to offer Jai career advice when he doesnt want it, including to distance himself from Arthur. He is critical of his son under the guise of being helpful. They do not see each other often or have strong familial bonds.
