Edward Hutchins, or Hutch as Rosemary calls him, is the friend and former landlord of the Woodhouses, and the man who warns them of the Bramford building's unsavory past, in Roman Polanski's horror melodrama, Rosemary's Baby (1968). He eventually learns that the Castavets are witches, but falls into a coma and dies before he can tell Rosemary. But he does wake from his coma long enough to have a friend deliver her a book called All of Them Witches. And from that, Rosemary learns the truth.
