First known as Laura Bristow, the wife of Jack Bristow and mother of Sydney Bristow, she was believed to have died in a car accident when Sydney was 6 years old. Sydney later learns that her mother was actually a spy for the KGB whose real name was Irina Derevko. She was recruited into the Soviet agency when she was 18 and assigned to infiltrate the United States. She gained the trust of then-CIA agent Jack Bristow to steal classified information regarding Project Christmas.
