Janine is Joey's hot new roommate who moves in shortly after Chandler moves into Monica's apartment. She is a dancer and Joey finds himself romantically attracted to her, but she does not reciprocate his feelings at first. When they finally do get together they start to double date with Monica and Chandler who Janine finds insufferable- describing Chandler as 'blah' and Monica as too loud. A feud between Janine and Monica eventually causes Joey and Janine to break up, she then moved out.
