Caputo is the Warden at Litchfield Penitentiary, aka Director of Human Activities. He's a pushover at times because he honestly cares about doing right by the inmates in his care. He also is in a band that today is a mere hobby since he gave up the potential to make a career for a baby that turned out not to be his. He may have once considered a career in wrestling as a child, but as luck would have it that didn't go well either. Despite the nickname beer can for his large appendage, he doesn't seem to have much luck with the ladies.
